These pages show a large number of marquetry designs from the simplest to the palatially elaborate. Like most European parquet, marquetry designs are generally executed with a background of oak and are decorated with other coloured timbers. However, you do not need to be hidebound by tradition. The background can be in almost any timber.

The designs are merely representations of a palette of ideas. They can be altered to suit you in any way you choose. You can take an element of one pattern on its own or combine elements of other designs to create a new confection.

The panels and borders are especially manufactured to sizes that suit your room and the style of the design.
